There are a few things that might be the culprit as to why your car is shaking, and the severity of the potential problems can fluctuate greatly. The most common cause of the shaking most often occurs near your car’s tires and rims. The wheels and tires connect the car to the road, and if anything is a bit wonky, you are going to feel it. If you got different wheels and tires recently, then your car vibrating could be caused by the tires not being balanced correctly. Tire balancing ensures the tire and wheel weight is. If you notice the tire vibration when you are driving, it could very well be an unbalanced tire. If the tires and wheels are balanced, but the car is still shuddering, check to make sure the lugnuts are fully tightened, and make sure the tire pressure is correct. If you find that your tires are the root of the shake, you should get it checked out immediately.

When drivers press the brake pedal, brake pads compress against the brake rotors to bring your vehicle to a stop. A smooth surface will give you smooth braking. A warped rotor surface will cause vibrations when braking, kind of like how a brick road feels rougher than an asphalt highway.
